Also I must say, although a bummer to go more than once to get it fixed, everyone at the service department has been very nice and seem invested in getting the issue resolved.
Thanks for the update. Great news

The fix is in! Went to the dealership, they changed the front window assembly. Was a very quick change and the problem has been fixed. The old assembly seems to have some missing epoxy or mis-applied epoxy in the track and this is a "known" issue as they had plenty of replacements that have a new part number and such. Ford and the dealership has taken great care of me and the truck and I must say I'm so very impressed with everyone involved with this.

Unfortunately I didn't get the number. The techs let me look at the old assembly and pointed out the new one was being distributed and available in such quantities that it's a known issue. Ford was involved with the repair and they seem to be tracking this issue. No TSB yet but I'm sure someone is drafting one.

Had the dealer check into the noise. They are saying it's normal. Oh come on. Time to get Ford Service(Canada) involved.

That is very unfortunate. It's definitely not normal, if you can demonstrate that holding the window up while driving stops the noise, then clearly the window is not installed correctly. I'm confident escalating the issue will get the ford tech rep involved. Took him less then a minute to decide it needed replacement. Sorry your having to go above and beyond, I did as well and was very happy with the fix.

I finally just had my knocking noise fixed. It would rattle over the passenger side. Turns out it wasn't fully bolted down out of the factory....

Default Glad to see this is being resolved

The noise has been driving me crazy. $51k for a new truck and all I hear is knocking coming from the moonroof.

Mine goes away if the moonroof is open (tilted or wide open), and if I quickly hit the close button two times, and not quite close it (from a tilt open) all the way, it seems to pretty much go away. Have to make sure it doesn't rain that day.

It's been to the dealer, they've ordered the rail replacement part, expect to get it back to them next week and hopefully have this resolved.
