There's no such thing as a second year design. Only small improvements to what's in production. But that happens in year 1 2 3 and so on. Part of the normal product lifecycle.

I wonder if the people saying 'don't wait, purchase a 2015' are the ones who chose not to wait and they actually bought the truck and the ones saying 'wait on the 2016' aren't really planning on purchasing a new vehicle to begin with.

After years and years on automotive forums, that's basically the conclusion I've drawn since this type of thread is rehashed EVERY YEAR.

Definitely get what you're saying, but I'm a '15 owner, telling him to wait for a 2016.

Anybody know if SYNC 3 will be standard on all trims? I'm looking at getting a 2016 XL/SCrew early next year.

But they won't build some 2016s without a major feature that they're touting in press releases promoting the 2016s. Makes no sense.
True. Unless I'm missing something I believe some people may be misreading the comments by the Ford reps. The reps said that Sync 3 would be on the Escape and Fiesta first, starting this summer, and all other models by the end of 2016. They never said what happens in between. With the F-150 arriving in the winter it would be illogical for Sync 3 not to available at launch.

I own a 13, not buying another Ford. Told him to buy the 16 because of all the known issues with the 15's.

As stated here. Ford has said 2016 f150 will get sync 3. I'm waiting for that.
