Just Another Build & Review Thread...Rancho 4.5" With BFG K02, Platinum 6.5' FX4
Special Ordered on 01/02/15, and delivered on 3/19/15.
The next day was the tint job and 3M (7 year) paint protection.
Fog lights were changed out for some matching LED's.
Two weeks behind the wheel, and I'm in love with the truck!
Adaptive cruse control is awesome!
The truck will apply the brakes and slow you to around 10mph,
and as long as your speed doesn't drop below that,
it will resume throttle back up to the set speed.
This makes my daily commute much easier.
I'm loving this feature, but I have noticed a lag between braking and throttling back up to speed
(I guess the truck is waiting for the car in front to clear a specific set area).
Luckily, you can power through this. Once the coast is clear, just step on the gas for a few seconds.
The vehicle will take over and resume to the set speed.
Another thing I've noticed, when going around some tight two lane back road corners,
the truck camera seems to looses visual contact with the vehicle in front,
which causes the car to apply the gas, then brake suddenly once the vehicle in front appears back in vision.
This makes for some exciting corners, but if you aren't prepared for it to happen, it could be a little scary.
Adaptive steering system is awesome! I have the settings set to maximum. This also makes my daily commute much easier.
It's not as advanced as the MB version, but it defiantly helps keep you centered in the lane.
It will help you hold the inside line of a corner, and will bring you back into the lane if you start to drift over.
I was afraid this system wouldn't work as well with a lift, but it works the exact same as when stock.
You need to use your turn signals! And with the *** system set to maximum, you must use them to change lanes.
The system follows lines (both solid and striped), and curbs to keep you centered.
If it's an obvious change of direction, it doesn't engage the ***, but if your following the line closely
and try to exit over a dashed line, it will fight with you, unless you use the turn signal.
Parts started to arrive.
Next up, suspension and wheel modification begins.
Rancho 4.5" Lift RS66500B with RS9000XL rear shocks.
BFG KO2 285/65R20 on American Eagle 014 20x9 with 0 offset.

First was the tear down. I had my friends do the install.
And the finished product.
I love the rear adjustable shocks. Really smoothed out the rear ride.
I'm using the OEM FX4 front struts with the Rancho spacers for now.
I will upgrade the front struts and upper control arms soon.
The 10 ply tires ride a bit rougher than the factory installed tires.
I'm running the air pressure at 40 cold / 44 hot.

Rims were $800
Tires were $1600
Everything installed for $750 including parts and dinner.
Alignment was $79.
