Clearly some of us have higher standards than others here.
I for one do not have my "panties in a bunch" however somewhere someone is responsible for the public facing information we see. If we know the link is broken so does Ford and if they know and they don't feel it should be fixed what else does Ford feel doesn't need to be fixed?
Intercoolers? Timing chains? Shocks?
As for **** happens? Yes, and ultimately someone is accountable.
At the very least, there should be a message that says "Coming Soon" rather than a broken link error message.
I have little regard for the old "oh well" ..."**** happens" attitude.
Shame on you Ford.

I can see the headline now, "Ford Product Line Called into Question after Website Error!"

I guess you don't get it...its a reflection of the company.
See, those people who are impacted by the bottom line tend to take more ownership in the responsibilities of a company.
I expect this kind of internet debacle to occur on some local parts store website, not on Ford.com
Buy a different truck?
Its called work ethic...

You got your panties untangled yet? If you feel a bad link reflects an unprofessional company and they may be hiding other things you are looking into this way too much. Every automotive company in the world has had a glitch here or there, whether it be with their vehicle or website. Ford posted a bad link, get over it. If the bad link upsets you then I would hate to see what you get upset about in day to day life.

I sure haven't been impressed with some of Ford's web based technology. From back in the day with they first came out with MyFord(Lincoln)Touch and their web support interface was (and in large measure still is) pure crap. I am one of many who are unable to download any MyLincolnTouch updates for my MKX - the website tells me there's nothing available as everything is up to date with the current version having a date sometime in 2011. Ford support tells me to have my dealer do it instead "at no charge". Strange thing is my dealer does charge me for this service.
To have non-functional links on their main F-150 site reeks of amateur hour. And speaking of amateur, if you've ever wondered just why Ford's MyFordTouch system sucks, it is because they originally decided they could save all sorts of money by not hiring Microsoft to do the programming and instead used a cut-rate bunch of ex-employees called A-Squared to do it using the pitiful Adobe Flash Lite as the framework.

Thats what I'm doing...you can disagree but I believe a company the size of Ford should have its **** together when it comes to these issues. My opinion.

That's it, I cancelled my order today. If they can't coordinate things with their website people properly, how the hell can I expect them to build a good truck? In fact, I'm so disappointed in Ford's website people that I will have my '32, '41, & '55 Fords crushed. I just don't want to risk the public embarrassment of being seen in one.
