Default I now have a 12 Volt outlet on 24/7

One big disappointment on my truck was that the 12 volt outlets turn off after 15 minutes. Really only a problem for me was the console rear one for the back seat where I keep my 12V cooler which we use on trips and for grocery shopping. But my fix can be used on any of the outlets your choice.

All you need is a fuse holder with pigtails one 1/4" and one 3/16" female spade terminal and a 20amp fuse. Assemble the above, open the engine fuse box and pull out the right 20amp fuse for the outlet you want in my case F91 and install the new fuse pigtail on the 3/16" terminal closest to the engine and the 1/4" one on the spare terminal in the left front corner of the fuse box.

Good Job! Any way to have the radio stay on for more than 10 mins?

I need the wiring diagram for the radio to see where it's getting its power. If it's like the outlets where after the BCM does its thing the last thing it does is go through a fuse maybe. But much higher chance of forgetting to turn off the radio than forgetting to take the food out of the cooler and turn it off.
Seems so easy for Ford to come out with a update changing all the timers to 60 or 90 minutes and make everyone happy.

Excellent job. Simple fix. I looked over the wiring diagrams for the 12V outlets and see no issues. Easily reversible with no sign of it being done!!!

Any idea what kind of drain this has on the battery? If you left your cooler plugged in for an hour, would you see any kind of significant drain when you got back to the truck? Great mod by the way.

I ran the cooler for a hour and fifty minutes and truck started as normal. So this fits my needs just fine.
