You can read the details on pickuptrucks.com regarding the reference to the massaging seats.

Thanks, looks like those massaging seats apply only to the platinum model. Hence the reference to Multicontour seats in the order guide I guess. Well I've never thought of myself as a Platinum buyer (King Ranch has long been my preference) but I have a weakness for massaging seats since experiencing them once in a Lexus. What's a few more grand anyway?

And the only reason why I can even contemplate paying over $60K for a pickup truck (Canada eh) is because I've held off buying a new one for a very long time (my current truck is almost 15 years old).

Original post is pretty misleading. There isn't a huge price increase across the board, the increase is pretty modest. $495 for an XL/XLT which probably makes up a huge chunk of sales through fleet and workers isn't bad at all, especially if that comes with good fuel savings due to the weight loss.

Worst is at the higher end but that sounds like mostly new standard features.

Yeah, I'm sure those massaging chairs will be a treat.......but I really like the looks of the 2015 King Ranch. Wow, your current truck is almost 15 years old? You deserve a new Platinum. Haha.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the price increases. I still think that regardless of the new tech and aluminum body, truck buyers will still cross shop and incentives will rule the day. The wildcard in my opinion will be aluminum supply. Alcoa has already stated that there is a supply crunch globally for aluminum.

Let's not forget that they raised the prices of the 2014 significantly -- in part to hide some of the price increase they expected for the 2015.......anyone remember how much they went up from 2013 to 2014?
You really do have to add the two price increases to determine the increase for the aluminum body.

I agree that the original post is misleading.

You forgot just....$395 increase for XL. And $395 increase for XLT.

$895 for Lariat, and King Ranch goes up $3,055 because it has $4,500 worth of additional crap. Wasn't the editor at PUTC complaining awhile ago that the KR should be something more luxurious and not just KR logos?
You get what you ask for.
