Default No blis

So, after reading all the posts I take it there is no LED replacement that doesn't include the blis system in the light fixture? I'm going to have to buy the light with the blis in it, and just not hook it up as my truck doesn't have it.

If these are incandescent.. is the rear "halo" LED or lit by bulbs??
I just found out the hard way that no not all trucks have the led strip around the tail light. Ugh. That's what I get for not researching I guess.

Default Pay It Forward

I am new here still, and I must admit the MAIN reason I joined this forum was to be able to contact and show my appreciation for the OP of this thread. Your advice and dedication documenting this allowed me to easily convert my halogen tail lamps to the LED ones that mesmerized me the 1st time I saw them. I know its not much, but if you can provide me your paypal address, I would like very much to send a lil thank you....to show my appreciation. You didnt have to freely offer this info, and yet you did. It has helped so many of us out, and again, I am very appreciative.

Has anyone made a plug and play harness to do this? I have the tails on the way and thought a harness would be easier

I was hoping someone would chime in about a plug and play pigtail. Seems like someone would've come out with something by now.

You guys are over complicating this. It is really easy to do if you simply read and follow instructions. Put your fear of messing up back in your pocket for when you really need it. Aquire all the needed parts and follow the expert instructions. For those of you STILL wanting a harness....ok give me a few weeks to assemble a few. Price will not be cheap as its parts and labor to build these harnesses, especially if you want a plug n play version. I'm sure time to construct is the main reason the OP doesn't offer them, but rather gave us an awesome FREE write up. I pledge to send a certain amount to the OP for each set I sell just because of his donation to the forum.

Weird, I've got a 2015 Lariat with halogen headlights and LED BLIS. Mine have the LED strip in the taillights. I naturally assumed all the BLIS equipped trucks had the same thing.
