It will actually slow you down (including stomping on the brakes if necessary) down to about ~13 miles per hour before it shuts off.
With the ACC and the lane assist (which literally steers you back into your lane), it's about as close to autonomous driving as I've seen ...

While it retains the "3 blinks" for a slight (non-locking) push of the turn signal, it now also has a detent (stays physically locked up or down at full pull) for when you DO want to put it on continuously (unlike the previous versions that would flash continuously even though the stick moved back to the original position).
The best of both worlds, I think. And, yes, it's a little softer sounding.

You guys loving the adaptive cruise control, do you do TONs of long highway driving? I live in NJ, there probably is just a few times a year that I actually engage the cruise control. Jersey has way to much traffic to make good use of it, so when I configured my new F150, didn't see any benefit in spending the extra bucks to get the adaptive cruise control.
