Default Is the horn really difficult to hit

Not sure if mines messed up or not, but you have to push it down pretty far to get it to work. I've had several close calls and in a panic hit the horn and nothing. Also trying to boost the egos of the hotties walking/ running down the street has become more of a chore than a pleasure.

Hell yeah it's hard to press! You can't give a little beep when someone is sleeping at a red light. It's straight ******* mode. It would be nice for light press and a little honk.

very hard to activate the horn, at least on my you have to press the middle (ford emblem) to get it to go off.

I've found instead of hitting the sides or the emblem slide your hand up to the top of the center part and press straight forward. Much easier to honk the horn.

No clue what you guys are talking about. I drive with one hand, while using my fingers/thumb from that same hand to hit the horn as I go around corners. Maybe because I am using it constantly I have it down and it's easier for me, but once you get the feel for it it's super easy.

Yep, I've never had an issue in the few times I've used it since getting the truck, but then I was pissed off and probably hitting it pretty hard..lol

I think Ford has forgotten the real purpose of the horn...

Make it easy to honk while behind the wheel. Make it harder to hit the panic button. Allow the alarm system to be turned off completely for those that don't want one (like me).

This is my advice.

this is my advice. Don't tell a soul once you've deactivated your alarm system as you'll likely regret it. There are better ways to get rid of your rig.

I haven't deactivated it because there is no way to do so. Maybe through IDS? The only time I hear car alarms going off is due to false alarms (clap of thunder, train goes by, someone looks at the vehicle wrong). Everyone just ignores them anyways.

I hate car alarms. Always have, always will.
