A couple of other nice surprises that I've noticed are as follows - these are on the 8" display in the instrument cluster and may or may not apply to the 4" displays:

When setting the cruise control, the truck shows you the set speed, such as 65.

When you have the navigation screens displayed in the instrument cluster, the display will also show you the speed limit for the road you are on.

Nice touches, these!
Yes. I forgot to add that it must be in this spot to program MyKey.

I think it's pretty cool even if it's not programmed. It's a carefree place to leave the key and just use the number pad to lock and unlock the doors. Given that it's winter though, I'll hold off on this. That remote start is lovely.

Default Lane Monitoring System

I just picked up my lariat sport a couple of days ago. Love the truck... I have been trying to get the lane monitoring option to work. I know it say you must be going 40 mph or faster for this to become active. I have tried this a few times and all I get are the different color lines to show up on the info screen. I thought the steering wheel was supposed to vibrate to let you know when you were wandering. I have felt nothing. I have seen the gray, green and red lines but that's all I get. Any clues as to what I am doing wrong.

There are settings for it in the dash menu. I can't remember where they are but they are there.

This lane monitoring thingy, can it be disabled? Sounds like more of a distraction than useful. When on cruise, does the truck slow itself when approaching a slower vehicle in your lane?
Is all this stuff mandated by big brother? Much like TPMS?

Lane monitoring has to be turned on to work.

Adaptive cruse-Yes and will match a distance from the front vehicle. When you change lanes to get out from behind that vehicle it will speed back up to you cruse setting.

Mandated by consumers wanting more bells and whistles.

Once you get used to the lane monitoring it seems quite normal. The cruise is fantastic, no more adjusting for every car in front that is a few miles an hour different then you. It will stop the truck if they came to a stop. I like the cruise more then anything else new that is offered.

Set the cruise and lane monitor and I tell my wife it is in self driving mode.

LOL, ya, that'll be on the next generation, eh?
What sort of spacing is used for a guideline? 1 car length for every 10mph or so?

Unless Ford has changed how it operates in the last couple of years, adaptive cruise will not bring your vehicle to a stop. Once speed drops below a certain level, a warning will sound and the cruise disabled.
