First timer here. 2015 f150 3.5 Lariat and lovin it! Finally made my way through the 60 pages of posts here and have made numerous trips to the garage trying new things. I feel like I just about have things adjusted to my liking, have done the burnouts in the sport and advancetrac sport mode, man is this thing fast, and have been trying to figure out all the other bells and whistles thanks to this site.
Still have one question I'm hoping someone can help me with. On the touch screen, is there a way in the settings to override the need for the vehicle to be stopped before getting into some of the functions. Would be nice for the passenger to be able to get in some of the options without the need to come to a complete stop, especially while we are still playing around with all this new, fancy technology.
Looking forward to staying up to date in this forum and learning more about this truck. It's my first ford truck and newest vehicle since 2010 and man have they come a long ways. Hopefully I can shed some light on a few things also.
TIA,
Brad

Flipped through the manual earlier this week, nothing I hadn't already figured out; except for the auto-parking brake release (with electric p-brake) just put in gear & apply accelerator.

I need a little help here with my Sync 3 with nav. There is a little cloud in the top right corner of the screen [ when on audio ] with a red X underneath, fooling with it it reads ''911 alert off'. What is this,, do I need it on,, how do I reset it to on??? I have fooled with it several times and cannot find anything that pertains to a 911 alert.. Thanks,, it is just bugging me..

Thank you--- I did not even know that the screen would swipe over...... Older people and all this new-fangled technology are not a good fit.... I think I can fix it now though. The red X appeared about 2 weeks ago,, must have changed it somehow by fooling with the phone itself.

Yes... Raise the lower seat UP first. This caused the back to articulate forward a couple of inches.
This gives you room to reach down BEHIND the upper seat. You'll find a latch mechanism.
You can press you face against the window and look down behind the seat (you'll only need to do this the first time, after that, you can do it "by feel". You'll see two parts of the latch mechanism. One part has a C-clip retainer around a pin. This is NOT what you need to pull on. Above and slightly to the driver's side is a smaller pin (prob 1/8" diameter, and sticking out about 1/4". This pin is the one you need to pull up. The slot that it's in is crescent shaped (like an arc) that goes first TOWARD the bed, then curves back toward the cab after halfway. if you try to pull STRAIGHT up, it is VERY hard to pull. If you hook your finger around it from the rear, then pull toward the bed and up at the same time, it moves much easier. After doing this once or twice, you can get it by feel in 2 secs every time. The trick is to pull it to the rear at first so it moves up that arcing track. A good view of the latch/pin/slot can be seen here at 0:17-0:19... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPWMVpSuZek
Once you've done this the latch disengages, but the seat doesn't lay down at first until you operate the latch on the lower seat to allow it to go back down. Once you do that, the upper/back of the seat will lay down easily on the lower. There is room back there for tow-straps, tarps, jackets (I keep guitar stands and power strips there too, along with a tarp and rain-jacket !!)
