Now every crook in the country that breaks into a new F150 knows the first place to look for the FOB...

If people would actually read their owners manual that is the backup slot for when your IKT battery dies the truck can still read the code from the fob to start the truck.

Lol. Not a hidden compartment. As MDBoostWorks said, this is the myKey Slot for programming. I guess you could hide it there. but you may be better off just zip tying to the bottom of the seat. Why you would want to hide a key inside the truck is beyond me though.

Well, now that you know about that secret hiding place, we gonna have to kill you....LOL

Reminds me of LoJack and even high end security systems.....any installer KNOWS where it is likely installed and how to cripple it when they steal it....you just hope that YOUR carjacker or car thief is from the bottom of the intelligence food chain....HA HA

Seriously, I had a hide-a-key tucked under the truck for emergencies and decided to put the hard key for the doors that comes with the FOBs under my 2015.....OMG....finding metal is a challenge.....caught myself laughing out loud under the truck....true story!

I usually hide my keys when I go for dinner or to the pub with buddies and my wife isn't there to store the keys in her purse lol

Is hiding the key really an issue? Leave the key in or mounted under the vehicle and a thief doesn't need to find it do they? Just push the button and go.
