Post Help: Removing rear oval badge on platinum

Trying to remove the rear small platinum badge on my 2015. Is it bolted on or just taped and clips? Don't want to keep prying / pulling if it's bolted.

I searched, only could find one that showed the tailgate panel removed but didn't really say if the emblem was bolted or not, just that it had holes

use dental floss. if it stops hard, there's a bolt in the way. If not, it's glued or taped and it will remove.

And?

Is there an oval indent in the tailgate panel or flush? Are you also removing the F150 from the left?

Well it wasn't bolted but it did have 3 prongs that just go thru holes in the platinum piece that would stop the floss from going thru

Yes oval indent, no not touching the f150 emblem

This link, you can see the 3 holes underneath

Surprised, I would have assumed it was just stuck or clipped to the tailgate badge, not all the way to the aluminum
