Headrest tv

Headrest tv
I was wondering if someone has done this or if it's possible, the only ford truck that comes with a real TV in the headrest is the expy! Why couldn't this be installed in a f250 with sync? I get why ford doesn't offer it in these trucks but am in the market for my truck and don't like aftermarket ones or those ones that just hang in the seat as I would want to control from the touchscreen itself. Any input would be helpful

I thought about various tv's for the headrest. All the screens are crappy. I ended up with two iPads and headrest mounts. The screen is much nicer quality (not pixelated), touchscreen, and holds many movies.

I had the Advent 8" headrest tv's put in. They each have dvd players and you can switch the monitor to actually view the other headrest dvd without swapping the actual disk. They are touchscreen and android based. You can basically plug and play anything into them. They matched the leather trim perfectly as you can see from the pics, they are just a little larger than the stock headrests (which are the smallest headrests I have ever seen) but they had to go a little bigger because of the 8" monitors it looks like. The installer tied into my factory aux port and you can either play the sound over the factory speakers or over the wireless headphones. As soon as they make a lockpick that works with the 360 camera I will be putting that in. Pics of them in my platinum 2015 below attached (Excuse Thomas the Train, I have two youngins). Keep in mind that this Thomas the Train dvd is OLD and not in HD format. The picture on these monitors when playing a HD DVD is amazing to say the least. I'll try to post a pic of HD video if requested. I should have taken a more zoomed out pic of the screens, may get that too.

jt2002hd, i also have platinum with Brunello interior, would you mind getting a few more shots of your setup? I am looking to do 2 Tvs also. When you say HD DVD, do you mean these are blu-ray players? Anymore info would be greatly appreciated!!

the Advent you can have HDMI inputs if you want, and pay more for. vs RCA's typically. they are not Blu-ray players, but you can have the signal/input from a Blu-ray.
I think 8" is the way to go w/ the viewing distance between headrest and rear seat.
