Default Having Trouble Choosing... (a tale of two trucks)

Hey guys,

We are looking into getting my wife a new truck and came across 2 different vehicles. Having a hard time choosing. What do yall think?

16 SCrew XL - Race Red 101a

16 SCrew XLT Sport - Ingot Silver 301a

Both trucks come out to about the same price when all is said and done (and also have the 2.7 EcoBoost and rearview camera we want).

We really like the Race Red color & are how the truck looks/the potential for how it can look with wheels/tires/leveled.

The Ingot silver has the center console shifter (which we prefer), but the silver color isn't our favorite... The decision process on this one is tough bc the pricing on that Silver truck is really good (considerably better than any other pricing we've seen).

Any advice/input? What am I not considering that would make one of these a better buy than the other? Thx.

They are both really nice, however I would go with the Silver that is nicer inside.
You like the look of the red and it is nice but what you see while driving is much nicer on the silver.
Think about it, you spend way more time in the drivers seat than you do staring at your truck from the outside. Go with what makes you feel best when driving...

Personally I would go with the XLT if the price is the same. It will hold its value better and probably has some options that the XL does not. My son's truck is silver and one good thing about it is that it does not show dirt very much at all. It's not a bad color.

27,000 for the silver sport, that's an unreal price! My truck which is very similar to that was 50,000 Canadian....

That's a heck of a price on the XLT Silver unit. I'd go with that, hands down.

I'm looking at trucks with them as well. I'm going 3.5 XLT fx4 (or 4x4) however.

Print out the details on both trucks. Then go to KBB.com and run them through there for their trade in value. That will give you a better idea what each truck is worth in the long run.

I ran both vehicles using the window stickers and using 15000 miles in excellent condition.

Trade in value
Dealer Private Sale

XL 25,275 28363

XLT 27051 30218

These numbers are for my area (southern GA), but can give you an idea of the value of each vehicle. Run the numbers yourself and see what you come up with. Just for trade in value, the XLT wins. For comfort, again the XLT. Your needs and wants.....that's your choice.

Go with the XLT, silver looks great on these trucks, kinda like bare aluminum lol. That seems like a way better deal than the XL. You will learn to love the silver, you will forever kick yourself in the *** if you don't get it. My 2 cents
