Mar 2015 build. Started having some noise at 15k. Also get a loud pop if I open it and it hasn't been opened for a couple days. Also had a large accordion shaped piece get jammed up and fall out of it on two different occasions.

Northern Alberta Canada here, 2 winters with very cold spells, never had an issue, or a rattle. 2015, 20 months owned, 67k on the clock.

Does anyone else have the gap between the headliner and the moonroof frame, mine fits tight in the front then slowly opens up to the 3/8-1/2" gap at the rear of the moonroof?

That's just to allow the mechanism and front glass to drop down and slide below the rear panel. It needs clearance space. Unless you can actually push your headliner up and it's drooping when you let go, it's normal.

Only the occasional rattle. Less rattling now, I've started opening it a couple times a week & it seems to rattle a lot less when it's closed.

15 platinum with no rattles, and the "as designed" drip between the two glass panels on the corners during hard rain.

About a month ago a plastic piece broke that had something to do with the front glass going up and down in. Dealership had to replace the whole sunroof rack!
They did a good job but the sunscreen was wrinkled after the fix, so they couldn't fix it so they ordered me a new screen and all is good now.

The gap should not be there, Ford admits this they don't know why some have this and what the fix will be. The body shop manager and I walked around the new car lot and 8 out of 12 had the gap some up 3/4" butt ugly. 4 of them were nice and tight all the way around the moonroof. My wifes Explorer headliner fits tight all the around.

Body shop manager is going to drop his headliner on his loaner next week to see why his is tight and if there is any kind of adjustments that can be made before they experiment on mine and approx. 7 others that are waiting for answers from Ford.

Forgot to mention some had gaps in the front not the rear.

2016 Lariat. Not one issue.

Everyone that sees it wished they had one. The difference inside the truck between open sunshade and closed is nothing short of dramatic.

It's almost like having a convertible yet none of the typical convertible issues...
