My truck didn't come with them.. But I've seen the kit to do it online..
The instructions state the truck needs some programming after install..
Just kinda wondering ..

Wondering what? Yes, it needs programming at the dealer. Probably $100 or so.

i posted the same exact question.

people suggested going with after market led strips.

but I still like the OEM set up. hopefully I can sweet talk my dealer into not raping me to program for the lights.

dont have the $$ now, maybe xmas time.

I've called two local dealers, including the one I purchased my lights from, and both said they couldn't do it.
I'm just kinda wondering what happens if I don't have it programmed? Seems like the manual switch in the bed should still work. Seems like the programming
Would probably have to do with making them come on when the cargo light is on.

Won't work at all without programming. Call some more dealers.

Guys it's so EASY. I have an IDS and I was there on my truck. Just ask if they have a IDS and the answer is yes, they can do it.

Tell them to go to Module Programming, then in the configurable options, then select lighting. Bed lighting disable or enable is the first option to configure.

10 minutes max. Anybody want it done in west ky, drive it to me! I'll do it for $50...lol
