Nice work, was thinking about this over the weekend.
Looking at your comparo shots.
With the lowbeam it looks like the stop sign has a bit more lighting on it with the H9
Highs, the house in the distance looks more illuminated stock vs the 9011.

Okay found the issue. Driver side bulb wasn't seated straight. It was canted pretty good. SO here is a revised pic.

Left is Factory H11. Right is Hella H9.

Soo is it safe to say the 9005's won't melt the fog light housing? Ide really like to do this swap. I always have the fogs (or ditch lights as i like to call em) on and worry about heat

There is another thread on this and several guys have been running the 9005's in the fogs for quite some time with no problems. Im getting ready to order the H9's and 9011's off of Amazon, cant wait to see the difference in person!

Is it all just plug and play? Or will I need to trim so plastic tabs off? I glanced over that thread just the other day and when this one came up I figured ide ask and finally do it

Gotta trim some metal and plastic from the socket and ring around bulb.

Looks like you just trim a few tabs off of the actual light mount and trim an area in the plug. Looks easy.
