Growing Impatient on Leveling Her
My original plan was to do the " Dub Build " but awhile back in talking to my mechanic he said coilovers can come out adjustment and require regular maintenance, sorry to say I'm more of a set it and forget it kinda of guy. So someone on here had mentioned Bilstein so into looking into them I decided on the 5100 ride adjustment shocks more my thing, from what I've been told looking at a Sept./October release, I was willing to wait. I noticed yesterday it appears in past model years they don't make them over a 2" level with a 4x4 so I'm assuming 2015 won't be any different. I really do want a 2.5" level.(so why wait) So now it comes down to doing a 2.5" spacer or go back to my original plan. Either way I think its gonna happen soon. I'm really not digging the raked look its time to leveler her out. Any thoughts of the 2 are very welcome, I'm new to the coilover scene and would really like the input. In all honesty the truck will be more of a pavement queen with very little off road if any. This is more for appearance, I really don't like the raked look.

I don't know if truck coil overs are any different than ones for cars.
I've had the cheapest coil overs available at the time on my track car for 5 years now. I've never had to re adjust them the slightest bit. Every spring I get the alignment checked (it's always right where I left it) top up my tires and head off to the track.

I was asking the same question. Wanted the full 2.5 to level it. Should I get coils or a spacer. In the end, justified the the price of the spacer at 100 dollars vs whatever boss was... expensive. I'm glad I went with the spacer. Ride is virtually unchanged and I couldn't be happier for now. Later I may install a lift but for now I got a level to fit my 34s. Now I have money left over for airbags if I decide on that. Guess we'll see.

Lol yea ok pavement King lol. I hear ya on the stock ride but I really don't like the rake. I am leaning towards the spacer.Had a 2" auto spring spacer on my 07 and never had an issue so I'm thinking on doing a 2.5" AS this time around with there 1.5" rear block. Thinking this will be just enough rake that the truck won't squat to much while towing my boat, but won't be as severe as stock.

RedX has a nice setup. He did 2.5" up front and 2.25 block in the back after removing the stock block. According to his tape measure the rear is higher but it looks pretty level in the pictures. There is also a picture of his truck with a trailer hooked up towing a Razr. Looks like a little bit of drop.
