Default Got myself a new toy

After months and months of looking at SUVs and trucks, finally shut my eyes and pulled the trigger. 2015 Platinum, SuperCrew, Short Box, Tuxedo Black, 5.0L V8, 3.73 Axle, 4X4, Big Fuel Tank

Haven't taken any pictures yet as it got dark by the time I brought it home. Will take a few tomorrow and post. Build thread to follow.

Default Pics

Pictures as promised.

I've had the truck for less than 24 hours and already desperately in love. Love the muscle car growl and lift-off of the v8 with 3.73 axle. Scares the crap out of my kids every-time I step on it.

I almost went with the 3.5L EB as my previous test drive with the V8 wasn't too impressive. I think it must have been a 3.55 axle or maybe even a 3.31 as it was clearly lagging behind the EBs with 3.55 axles. I wasn't about to give up on the V8 though. After weeks of searching for a V8 + 3.73 combo with all the right options, I finally found one about an hour away. Called them ahead of time and asked to keep the truck ready along with a couple of EBs. Drove them back to back, and it was a no-brainer. This thing is a BEAST. The EBs didn't even come close in acceleration and smoothness. Even the fake sound didn't sound as good. No disrespect to the EBs, they have their place, but this V8 made me realize that they are not what I was looking for.

Am contemplating the following upgrades. Not sure at this time which ones I will actually go through. Will probably start a "build" thread when the time comes - unless there is a way to change the title of this thread.

Stubby Antenna
Spray-in Bedliner
Tints
Headrest DVD
Level/Coilovers
Fender Flares
Wheels (spacers?)
Tires
Remove 4x4 stickers
Platinum badging on bed side?
Plastidip rear Platinum Badge?
Sway bars?
Audio Upgrades?
Performance Upgrades - Tune? Supercharger?

Posted this yesterday but it didn't display until just now. For some reason it had to be approved by a moderator. Bump.

I ordered the 3.55 gears for my 5.0L Platinum, too. How do you feel it performs? I've been thinking I should have gone with 3.73.
