Default Gallons Used / MPG

Noticed on the last couple fill ups that my gallons used and of course mpg has been off over 2 gallons each time (23 gallon tank). My old 2011 was only off about 1/2 gallon over 36 gallons.

Has anyone else noticed this much descrepency and is there a way to calibrate it a little closer?

Thanks.

Mine is also off, first fill up said 28 gallons used and I ended up putting in over 30. I always go hand calculated since it always seems to be off.

I have the small tank and it will usually take at least a gallon more than indicated on the dash. Lie-o-meter is optimistic when it comes to indicated mileage. Generally 1.5 to 2 mpg off. Close enough for government work and Ford.
