Fuel Mileage Being Miscalculated

Fuel Mileage Being Miscalculated
I'm just wondering if anyone else has notice that the fuel mileage being reported by the computer does not match calculating the actual fuel mileage.
For example, at my last fill on my 2016 Lariat with the 3.5L EB, I put 25.01 gal. of fuel in and had 419 miles on the tank. This would be about 16.75 mpg but the computer reported I got 17.6 mpg.
I reset all mpg calculations and trip odometers when I fill up, so it is accurate for that tank. If it was close (+- 0.1) I wouldn't be too concerned but this was almost 1 mpg off. I have noticed this same problem with various differences on different tanks of fuel.
Would love to hear if it is just me or if anyone else is experiencing similar issues.

Pretty sure all vehicles lie about in dash mpg's since the day they started offering it, among all the OEM's. People seem to just accept it's about 1 low in most cases. I reset the trip and the fuel used, is usually 1-2 gallons short (makes me think there is more in the tank than there is).

My 2.7 is consistently .5-1.25 mpg high.
Doesn't really bother me, since I use fuelly to track it all.
Our '13 Flex is within .25mpg usually.

FWIW, both my new F150 and our Volvo S60 both come in 1-1.5 mpg below the indicated readings.
With a lot of stop and go driving or idling, actual fuel economy can be off as much as 4-5 mpg from indicated.
I consistently fill to the point of nearly overflowing and document my fill ups with an app called "Carcare". For craps and giggles, I've always entered a note stating the indicated reading each fill up just to track these inaccuracies.

That tank was also the lowest. at 15.2mpg.
I have noticed a pattern.
Reported - Actual - difference
15 - 15 - 0
17 - 16.8 - .2
19 - 18.5 - .5
21 - 20.3 - .7
23 - 22 - 1
