Default Front view camera

I was at the dealership tonight test driving a platinum. They had 2 on the lot, one was marked as being 701A equipped, as has the camera under the Ford emblem on the grill. There was also a 700 equipped truck with the same camera. This truck was sitting in the showroom, so firing it up to see what the camera showed was out of the question. Do all the trucks have these cameras now? I have noticed some don't, for example dubsed's doesn't appear to have a camera in the front grill. Any pointers would be great.

Thanks

The camera is part of the Technology Package. I believe it is included within the 701A package, and optional on the 700A. Either way, the truck has to have the Technology Package in order to have the front camera.

You can't get the front camera (*Tech package) with the 2.7 motor. I'm hoping this will change for the 2016 model. I'm not holding my breath. :-)

Its available on the 502A Lariat as well, again 3.5EB/5.0L only.

Right. I thought he was referring to Platinums only. It's available on Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum. I was just making sure he knew it's part of the Technology Package is all.

My issue is I don't like it. They truck I was looking at on the showroom floor had the camera but the sticker didn't show a tech package or the 360 camera alone. Hopefully it's a misprint. I Honestly don't like the camera and think it's a giant turd stuck to the front of an otherwise beautiful grill

We have front and side cameras bundled with a complete kit that will be plug and play with your factory 8" screen. We can also do a front camera if you have the factory 4.2" screen but your truck cannot have a factory rear camera.

The factory 360 system is really cool but requires you to press a button on the dash for certain feature activation. Here are some cool features we can do with 8" screens:

1. Front camera auto activation below 7 mph
2. Auto side camera activation with turn signal
3. Turn any camera on while moving in any gear, any speed. Including side, front, and rear cameras
4. Add a second rear camera to put on your trailer or other location that is auto-activated in reverse - all controlled through the on-screen menu interface
5. Unlock navi destination entry while in motion and DVD in motion (if equipped)
6. Stream video from your iPhone or Android phone directly to your 8" screen using Apple AirPlay or Google MirraCast

If you are 4.2" screen equipped without factory rear camera we can do the following:
1. 4.2" direct rear camera interface to add aftermarket rear camera
2. Force rear camera on at any time (requires toggle switch)
3. Add a front camera
4. Force front camera on at any time (requires toggle switch)

Our front cameras either surface mount on the grille, install in the front emblem, or get mounted under one of the cross members of the grille, depending on model and year.

Our rear cameras are either emblem based or handle based, depending on your desired configuration.

Our side cameras go under the side mirrors and are fully adjustable. These are challenging to install but they work great and eliminate blind spots.

A few questions.

Can these features be turned off or on? Not sure I would want all that going on with the screen all the time?

Also do you know (I have not looked yet) if the front and side camera wiring is pre installed in a 2015 F150 Lariat 502a package?

Can you post some pics or add to your website what it looks like on the mytouch nav screen with the front camera option and if I wanted to use this to see a camera I have on the back of my camper?

Just wanted to make sure if it takes over the whole screen or you still have other functions like a PIP with the added front camera and or the assy RCA camera plug in?

Also I looked on your website and did not see anything for the 2015 yet?

1. Front camera auto activation below 7 mph
2. Auto side camera activation with turn signal
3. Turn any camera on while moving in any gear, any speed. Including side, front, and rear cameras
4. Add a second rear camera to put on your trailer or other location that is auto-activated in reverse - all controlled through the on-screen menu interface

I'd be curious as to pricing, etc for my Lariat with the 8 inch MyTouch screen that already has back up cam...no NAV, but, as stated above, there is no "package" with both side and front cameras, nor any such package for the 2015 F150 I can find...
