Default Fox 2.0 Stage 1 or F150lifts Boss?

Setting aside the obvious range differences (fox 0-2 and F150 0-3) does anyone have any thoughts on either. I've heard RAVE reviews from F150lifts, but the Fox hits my price point. The hesitation, for me, is ride quality. My intention is to be at around 1.5" adding some 33" tires on my stock wheels, then adding some FG adapters. Even though the Fox system is a 2" system I fear that even at 1.5" will create a rough ride over stock...and I don't want that - but...I don't know. I certainly don't want to "over stress" anything. My thought toward the F150lift system is that it allows more flexibility for wheel tire combos down the road....If anyone has any constructive thoughts on this, I'd appreciate it. Every time I get a new truck I always say that I'll leave it stock...

I wasn't going to comment, but if you give me a call I would be glad to explain all the differences. We are a Fox dealer and have both Fox and Boss in stock...lets get you the right set that fits your tire size needs, driving style, and just what works best for you.

False. A lot of people on this forum are running boss coilovers. Some fox too but not as many. I don't think anyone has run both to give you a direct comparison. I've herd both are very good.

I've ordered the Fox ones, but my truck won't be here until April. If you want to wait until then I can let you know how they are.

Prices I've seen seem pretty close (~$150 difference).

I was 110% dead set on Fox 2.0 to the point of calling a place to order them. I wanting to buy the Fox 4WD coilovers for my 2WD. I wanted to do this to get the ride height of a 4WD with Foxes.

The person at the place I called tried talking me out of the Foxes and suggested I got with the Boss Coilovers, he said that the 4WD Foxes wouldn't fit on my 2WD. CoughBSCough

*****(F150Lifts was NOT who I spoke too!!!!)*****

So I ended up not buying anything at that time. That's when I started doing research. And turns out the Boss Coilovers are just about 2.75" longer than the 2WD Foxes & 1.75" longer than the 4WD Foxes. Because the amount of lift out of them was important to me I needed this information to make my decision. After all this I ordered the Bosses. This was back in Late Dec/Early Jan. I hadn't had time to install them yet :-( but will start the install tomorrow evening.

With you only wanting a little lift you would be good with either. But to be completely honest with you, the customer service I received from F150Lifts.com would make me choose them again and again. There second to none! And not to mention more adjustability of the Bosses would make me choose them too!

And being as the Bosses can do 3" and you only want 1.5"ish the preload on the spring would be less to get 1.5 of lift which would make for a softer ride, where the Foxes would be greater preload and make for a stiffer ride.

Here is a thread that I provided all the info I found on.
