Gawd I hope the 10sp story ends well.....we'll see.
Obama took office in... 2009. Congress (wait, not Obama?) regulated new CAFE standards in 2007 (wait, you mean under President Bush?) that raised the standards by 9MPG through model year 2016 and changed the calculation.

The Obama administration implemented what Congress (again, under President Bush) put into law.

So yes, it is President Obama's fault.

If they're trying to prevent the 6R80 issues from happening again, good for them. The bulkhead leaks, molded lead frame contamination, etc. could have been caught if they'd tested them longer in the real world.

Still listed as Dealer Ordered. My guess is that Ford shipped them but hasn't given the dealer the okay to deliver them to the/a customer.

Trust me, this is costing Ford dearly and they aren't delaying without good reason.

I guess my question would be, are they going to actually fix the issue or do some quick ECU/TCU program change to bandaid the issue by losing function or features.

That Ruby Red is beautiful.

Still not a fan of first years though. That's just me.

Why does everyone keep talking about a problem and them fixing something? The article says nothing about a problem at all. They are likely just running a batch through additional road testing to make sure the current assembly process is putting everything together correctly.

I was at DTP all last week and got to watch tons of F-150s (and rows of beautiful Raptors) leaving the plant and nothing indicated a massive problem with any of the trucks. I can tell you that my week there gave me a new respect for how seriously that plant takes quality issues, and they do pulls to check and make sure everything is being assembled correctly. Unless someone says otherwise I would look at what they are doing as just ensuring good trucks are going out than them fixing a problem.

15/18 mpg is a far cry from meeting any kind of CAFE numbers, 10 speed or not

Or they are shipping the new stuff to a containment facility pending a reflash or changes. It is a hi-profit margin vehicle, so to pull them from sale means they have a big reason to.
Two reasons why they dont keep them on-site, doesnt clog up the plants yard, snooping photogs do not get photos of 100's Rapters stacked for an issue.

I found a TSB 16-457:

Hold all Raptors and 10 speed F-150s to screw with customers' minds...
