One of the largest dealers in the country so not a allocation issue.
Dearborn VIN
Nothing said late avail during order. I was initially told it would be a December build then about every week in January.
THen february the last was a for sure Build of March 9th.
Brittany finally did respond with this.
Hi there,
It looks like your build date has shifted a bit, to 3/20. I'm not seeing an ETA just yet, but please check back in about a week or so; I'll send along the latest.
Brittany
Week after week after week I get the same thing. Check back next week for update. I am given a build week but when that week comes its check back next week, wait another week I get another build week it goes by then its back to check next week
It has been getting moved since december.
Patience wearing thin . . . Basic order but a XL so I guess the money trucks gotta be built first.
Pretty loaded for a XL but did not want all the bells and whistles of a higher end model.

Regular cabs with the 6.5' box are delayed. I assume that's why your build date keeps getting pushed back.

Huh. Dearborn is not building production regular cab trucks. They only built a few pre-production regular cab trucks for testing. Everything I have heard indicates that KC will be the only plant to build the regular cab.
Are you certain the 11th digit of your VIN is not a K?

At this point I simply do not believe what I am being told.
A couple weeks ago I was given a actual build date not just a build week.
I sold my diesel truck a couple days after christmas expecting this build to be january . . . then for sure a couple dates in february then march 9th now march 20th.
I had another truck on order too and cancelled it. Telling me what they think I want to hear not working . . I have been royally screwed over by ford in the past on a lemon and the lemon replacement with a lot of promises that were not kept. Should have learned a lesson!
I am a true Ford customer so will not buy a chevy or dodge so will just build my own daily driver . . Thought I would give them another chance at a new one. They do not seem to care.

I have a related question and the answer is possibly going to determine if I (eventually) cancel my 2015 order: Do the Ford customer service people on here have access to more order information than the average person does simply by entering their VIN into COTUS?
I'm asking this because COTUS and customer service tell me my order placed 11 weeks ago in still sitting in In Order Processing - the only thing that has ever updated in COTUS in 7 weeks besides the # of days to delivery is that the ETA has now slipped one day to April 13th. That ETA of course is near impossibility if the truck isn't even scheduled to be built yet.
However my dealer tells me my truck was scheduled to be built May 5th and has an ETA of April 14th. My deadline for receiving this truck is the end of April and my dealer is required to refund my deposit if not received by then. I've asked him to double-check and he insists the info about the build date he gave me is correct. Meanwhile Ford customer support tells me COTUS information is correct. So who has the accurate information?
I either have this new truck by the beginning of May to embark on a long trip hauling a trailer (yeah that trailer tow break-in period might be a problem) or I make some some modifications to a vehicle I have now. If it's the latter then I'll likely wait till late summer or early fall and order a 2016 F150. Or something else entirely.

I wouldn't worry. If you just ordered this week, you still have a little while to wait before production. Plenty of time for them to replenish supply of extended range tanks.

I've had a single cab short bed ordered since the first part of December, no VIN no build date the order hasn't been puled and COTUS don't work. It quit a week ago. You just won't to go running, screaming and beating your head. Then cancel the order and that is just what I'm going to do if I haven't heard something by the 23 of next month when I get back from vacation

I also sold my Lariat 06 back in February to get into a regular cab but as of now, they do not exist. I've been eyeballing the new regular cab Sierras with the 5.3 and they are very tempting. I haven't owned a GM vehicle since the early 90s. I just wished Ford would have had all its ducks lined up in a row. By the time the regular cabs come out the 16's would be knocking on the door.
