Ford did it again
Well it's my turn to vent. Now don't get me wrong, I like my 09 and they 15's are very appealing to me. Good looks and a lot of features I really like. I plan to get a new truck end of next year(2016 model) or early 2016.
So here is my problem. I want leather, I want Chrome and I don't want wood grain!!!!!! No leather in the xlt, lariat has leather, but it has wood grain interior with the chrome package. Nice black inserts with the sport but no Chrome!!! Had the same issue before, fx4 had the best interior but no Chrome. Why does it have to be this way?!?! I like the Chrome look better and the painted bumpers get beat to hell around here from dirt/rocks and road salt. But most of all I can't stand wood grain.
Ok I'm done.

I prefer the chrome bumpers for durability too
Seen too many painted bumpers messed up
Should be options to add/delete all this stuff
Look at Porsche site, you can color coordinate your KEY
Of course it costs like $350-900 for each little change

I've thought about just modifying it to what I want but I'd rather not. I want to just buy what I want. After years in the mini truck scene with my ranger I'm kinda done with mods. Soft cover, level kit and some audio is all I've done to the f150. I love doing it, but once I start I can't stop. Nothing was stock on the ranger. It's hard to not keep going on the f150.

So just get a lariat chrome package and vinyl wrap the wood grain? I did it in an avalanche, it took about an hour to do every piece of the wood grain on an interior laden with fake wood. The aftermarket is available to you, don't be afraid to use it.

I've done wraps before. Not too hard and can look great. I'll have to wait and see it in person, had some vehicles in the past with panels that didn't come off. Makes it hard to to a good wrap job.
But really I just don't understand why ford can't offer two options for the interior.

From all the pics and video I've seen, the non-FX4 4x4s have the Goodyear Wrangler, and the FX4 trucks have Hankook Dynapros. If that turns out to be accurate, that's enough, especially when combined with the 3.55 locker, to get me into the FX4 package in it's own.
