Id say + - 10% isn't that big of a deal. It's a reference not a scientific standard. I really doubt anyone calculating by hand is anymore accurate. Kinda like your speedo has an acceptable error.

Mine is full when it pops.. Don't even try to get anymore in any longer..

Who really cares? Is this a life and death matter to anyone? If you consider the FDA allows a 20% error in the meters that measure blood sugar in diabetics, which can really be a health issue, the onboard MPG readout doesn't even matter.

It's not a matter of life and death. If I'm correct , all of those who have there gallons used number lie. They're pumping extra fuel into the fuel tank after the pump kicks off automatically.
