You guys may want to hold up buying a hard tonneau for the time being--apparently there may be some issues with the automatic tailgate not releasing with some tonneau covers.

The Bakflip covers should work just fine. There's nothing on them that holds onto the tailgate when they're shut.

On the bakflip covers... you still have to open them though to shut the tailgate, right?

Only when they are new. After a couple months the rubber "learns" the tailgate ledge and doesn't fold back.

Agreed, my wife and kids have shut the tailgate with the cover down and no damage has been done.

My truck is being built 1/19 and I made the decision to go with the Bakflip F1 for my 6.5' box. I'm keeping an eye on their website between now and the first of the year to see if they offer a free Bakbox with the purchase like they did in the fall.
