Default F150 #1 again

http://www.click2houston.com/consume...-business-news

The Ford F-150 is once again the best-selling vehicle in the country.

Dealerships sold nearly 800,000 of the trucks in 2015, besting all other models. The Chevy Silverado and Dodge Ram secured the second and third spot respectively. The Toyota Camry was the fourth most popular vehicle, followed by the Corolla.

Actually the story is slightly inaccurate as the numbers they give are for all "F-Series" trucks. Ford doesn't release actual F-150 numbers. GM is the same with their Silverado series/FCA with their Ram series. The numbers given are inclusive of the heavy-duty versions of the trucks. It would be interesting to see the numbers of individual models. I do know that Ford's Super Duty dominates the HD market.

In Canada the F150 has been the top selling truck for the past 50 years in a row.

This is so true. They just try to make it sound good... Not just F150's

Hah, that's funny, I JUST heard that on a radio commercial this morning! I liked the ad, it said "Look out the window and you'll see an F-150", so true, especially in Alberta

That is interesting. I wonder why Ram is so more popular there than they appear to be here? I don't see many Rams compared to Ford / GM trucks. They don't seem to be as popular here as they were 1994-1999. They sold a boatload of them with that redesign (2nd gen). I even had one .

The dealers push big incentives here in Canada. I bought a new '13 Ram sport in 2012. One of the first ones they had on the lot. And even with a lot full of 2012's to unload, they were still offering $15,000 off MSRP! I was looking at all the new trucks and bought the Ram because I got a fully loaded ( Nav, sunroof, heated & cooled leather, remote start, cameras etc.) for $38,000. The sticker was $53,000. To get the equivalent F150, which I just purchased in November, I had to get a Lariat with. 502a package and a $67,000 price tag I honestly think the Rams are the best looking trucks out there, inside and out.

The other thing you need to realize it that if it was Ford vs GM (Silverado and Sierra), GM sold more trucks. And we all know they are the same truck. Just saying. I love my F150 and wouldn't buy a GM, but the numbers are deceitful.
