Anyone else addicted to the turbos spooling?? I have the 2.7l eco.. love it.. and always need my windows down!

I loved it on my 2011 3.5 . The 2015 has got the canned motor noise

There is a thread called----Active noise control(Fake engine) disable how-to.
I had my dealer disable the fake engine noise through the IDS.

The turbo spooling sound isn't fake.

Isn't that on Lariats and Up? I didn't think you got that unless you had the optional Sony Sound.

On a 3.5tt Lariat it absolutely is. Unless you have the windows down you can't hear it.

You can barely hear it on an XLT with the windows up. Not like my old moded 7.3 power stroke. That sounded like a jet plane. But still love the turbo spool and can't wait to put an aftermarket exhaust on. Find my self riding with my windows down a lot.

2015 Platinum 3.5 - I like the throaty engine sound, keeps me from wanting to upgrade exhaust. I don't really hear the turbos spool up but I do hear the blow off valves and that is exterior sound because people hear it and look back. My friends last night heard it as I was approaching their house and was like what's that noise.

The turbos are very noticeable when spooling on the 2.7l. I think the fake noise people are talking about being thru the sound system has nothing to do with the turbos.. because I can hear it at all when the windows are up...
