The Nissan will be gunning against the 3.5EB, 6.2L GM, 5.7 Hemi. That'll be a cool shoot-out. Turdra may even have the same Cummins by then (2016).

Good power, but I still want to see the MPG numbers.
EcoDiesel vs EcoBoost, I think if the EcoBoost isn't close to the Diesel Ram in MPG, that could be the tipping point for a lot of buyers.

If you're into buying a Titan & want towing power, the 300+ HP-500+ TQ Cummins could offer an additional choice.
BTW, I recently learned that GM is 1/2 owner of VM Motori (Italy) who supplies the Ram & Jeep diesel engines.

Actually Fiat bought out Penske's 50% share and then purchased GM's shares in 2013...it is 100% owned by Fiat (Chrysler)

As an EcoDiesel owner, I would love to see an “independent” test – and I’m by no means saying this video couldn’t be valid, I’m just rather surprised, as I have never had this little 3.0L engine struggle for me at all. In fact, I was just in the mountains of Tennessee last week, and it performed like a champ.
However, If this video is in fact 100% legit – We’d still pass the EcoBoost shortly after the mountain pass after it has to stop for 15 minutes to fill up with gas… lol
Anywhooo...here's my truck:

This new engine sure is nice. Has the power of my current '10 5.4, which makes it a no brainer. I, like a lot of people use my truck as a daily commuter. It would make sense to buy this engine and get some serious MPG. But when I tow my soon to be delivered 5,500 travel trailer, what will my MPG's be. Maybe 10 or less. Until real world numbers come in, my 5.4 isnt going anywhere. Although, I do enjoy seeing the 2.7 EB kicking some competitor butt.

I'll do the trade before while it is running nicely !

Yep, because some people just have to have a diesel, even if it doesn't make any sense. And because some people won't factor in the extra initial cost, extra maintenance cost and extra fuel cost.
