Well, it was an easy fix...........it appears my door rattle was caused by a penny :O. The dealership found the lonely coin in a very odd spot, one you wouldn't think to check......the gap created behind the door handle when you depress it to open the door from the inside. I've attached a crappy cell phone pic for reference. I'll admit it, I'm a tad bit embarrassed to say I didn't solve the rattle before dropping it off for service!

I dont have any pennies in my door. But i do have an odd rattle/vibration coming from the door.
Taking it in tomorrow for the first oil change and they will take a look.

Its a pretty irritating noise when you are on a long trip for 4-5hrs. I hope it gets fixed...

Hey Tbrown87,

Please shoot me a PM with what you found out on your dealership visit.

Angry My new 2015 F-150 sounds like it's 30 yrs old

Very disappointing. And I sold Fords for almost 7 years. I have a 2015 Ford XL- Supercab and the Left side, driver's side, behind my seat...somewhere in the door panel...rattles like a train... when I am driving under 30 mph. I have had it in 3 X to the dealership... apparently the Ford Engineers are aware of this.. and 'have' a possible solution, but so far, it hasn't worked.
The tech was supposed to tighten something but whatever he did, did not work...

I have 11k on mine and started to get the rattle around 3k. Once I hit bumps or holes in the road I can hear and see the door slightly move and squeak. I doubt you would capture it with a video from a phone. Probably something to deal with for long as I own it but it sure is annoying. I've already pondered switching back to GMC, but only thing at the moment that keeps me in the Platinum is the features.

Mine just started doing it today with 3000 miles on it. Drivers side back door, it's a Scab.

mine does the same, XLT Screw... Try pushing on the top rear corner of the drivers door when your driving, that stops my rattle. I ordered some 3/8" surgical tubing to run through the door seal. It seams the seal is breaking and its just not stout enough. I will keep you posted.

I've got the same problem with mine - started about 2-3k miles. Took it in a couple weeks ago for warranty work (sunroof issues), but they couldn't replicate the noise. I'll be taking it in when I have time to.

I finally spent some time trying to figure out what was causing my issue and it is in the exact same spot. In my case, it sounds like the seal is squeaking against something because it isn't tight enough.

I've been to the dealer twice to fix it (second time, the tech claimed he couldn't hear anything) and when I filled out the survey I mentioned how it still isn't fixed and the dealership did call me back. Have to make an appointment but wanted to see if others had ideas for a fix.
