I'm wondering this as well.

There's about a 1/2 inch gap where you can see the rear of the projector. It's hard to see and you have to be close in.

Is there a way to cover it with a different shroud? Also about how much space is between the Chrome bezel and the headlight lense?

You could probably use aluminum flashing or something to hide the projector from the side. It would need to be painted.

I can't recall the diameter of the shroud off the top of my head, but it touches the top and bottom of the housing. It fits, but it's tight. Any larger (even 1/8th of an inch) and it would need to be cut.

Edit: I misread your post. There is probably 3/4 of an inch to a full inch of space from the clear lense cover to the outer edge of the shroud.

Just opened my headlights and I've gotta say it was a lot easier than I thought. Some people say they are terrible to open but they were extremely easy for me. Cooked them at 275 for 25 minutes and they opened just like that. The hardest part was cleaning out the perma seal. It probably took me 10 minutes to open one headlight and 25 to clean out the perma seal.
