I've been lurking and on the fence about the whole 14 versus 15 issue too. FWIW I just spoke with someone at my friendly neighborhood ford store today and was told that their allocation for the first batch of 2015 F-150s is 11 units scheduled to arrive starting in November. They won't be getting more of them until the KC plant has its retool complete and starts rolling again. The trucks from KC are scheduled to start showing up in Feb.

This makes sense since I live in Colorado. No idea how this timeline affects the rest of the country.

Since production startup dates are staggered between the Dearborn & KC plants, I wonder if the Job 2 dates will be simultaneous or staggered at the two plants?

The letter says retail orders, correct? Does that mean customer-specific ones? My thought is, if your dealer entered the order as a dealer stock unit, and not special order, it could potentially be built and delivered earlier?

pb65stang, You are exactly right. If you have an inside track with your dealer and he orders the truck as stock for the dealership then the truck could hypothetically arrive as early as November.

My dealer also said that when a completely new model comes out like the 2015 the dealership orders the top of the line King Ranch and the Platinums first because the demand for those vehicles is there.
