Has anyone done anything to their fender or tailgate badges besides plastidip? Trying to get some ideas on what to do with them. Trying to get rid of all the chrome on my sport. Was thinking about vinyl wrapping but looks like it would be a pain.

Got some decals from eBay but it only covers the flat face of it, I was getting rid of some chrome on my sport as well, they can make about any color
Edit: it came with 3, one for each fender and one for the tailgate

I couldn't stand the chrome on my Ford ovals so I painted them.

CUSTOM COATINGS

A customer is sending me a set pretty soon here. They come apart like the 12-14 f150's do. When I get them done, I can post the pics here for you, so you can see them for an idea.

Saw those and gave me an idea of painting the the badges sterling gray and either painting the faces black or getting those decals. Probably going to paint the ovals the same way.

White-Out

I'll be doing a couple of sets here in around 3 weeks, but I know you want to see them now. I've got them already pulled apart, but need the Columbus Day 3-day weekend to get everything I'm painting removed, prepped, sprayed and re-assembled. I'm matching the chrome on my Lariat emblems to the Sport wheel color and spraying the black portion white to hopefully make the emblem appear less bulky on the fender.

The white oval is for a 2015. It was UG tri stage pearl white.


I'm only in business till the end of the month. The feast or famine with this business is hard to deal with. Considering the large monthly fee they charge you. So I have to call it quits by the end of the month. But my email is still out there... (hint, hint)

That's sad to hear about the business ending. I've been selling aftermarket car parts for a good part of 10 years, and I wouldn't see any reason why you shouldn't be selling custom pieces of work like this all the time.

I just picked up my F150 over the weekend so I know the wife would kill me if I bought anything new for it immediately (since $25k+ has gone into the Mustang GT already), but hopefully you stick around, seriously, I know I'll be very interested in when the time comes. (PM me your email address just in case you might still consider doing this in the future).
