So I downloaded the files quite a while ago and finally got the courage to update.
No success. I copied unzipped files to root directory and it starts to index and then says
"The installation failed, has run out of disk space or doesn't work with this version.
I have a nav truck so I should be able to dump in on one USB but it's not working.
I tried 2 different USB drives.
Do the install files need to be In a "syncmyride" directory?
Any ideas?

Got it! Successful install, had to do some editing of file names so the Autoinstall file pointed to the correct location.
Hub installed with a couple F bombs but we got'er.

Thanx to all on this forum for the help and insight, I have CarPlay!! Hip Hip Hooray!

The hub needs to be changed for Apple Car play, it is good for Android Auto. Once you use Android auto you will never use the built in navigation or voice control ever again.
Thanks! I just finished it in the driveway and apart from having to re-pair my phone it's working great! I sincerely hope the BT connectivity is better. Android Auto seems to work nicely too!

Rumor is Ford is looking to release the update around March 1. The salesman who mentioned it to me said it is rumor, but looks like it should happen. BTW the same salesman has update with the 2.2 file from the forum.

Shocker...

Sounds like and it might be the same poster from a few days ago and perhaps he`s using another name.

Duane150.

I hope it does happen but i`m not going to hold my breath.

I`ve been waiting since July 2016 and hopefully or patience will pay off soon.

Have you already updated and purchased the new hub or are you just waiting patiently like me.

I've got a 2016 non-navigation model. I'm attempting the update now. Is there any indication on the screen that an update is underway? I can't tell whether or not it's doing anything...

In answering your question understand I have nav but it should work the same. When I first tried the download nothing happened on the screen. Went back and looked at what was on my memory stick and for some reason the needed files were inside another folder. When I redid the memory stick without the extra folder it worked like a champ and said downloading new software almost immediately.
