Default Crud, Need New Windshield, Anybody Replaced One?

Just over 5k miles and WHAM...rock came flying up from a semi and CRRRRACK.....have a long crack that runs 3/4's the length of the windshield & then curves up in front of the passenger.

Stopped in at 2 different window glass places and neither one has every replaced a 2015 F150 windshield, one did not have the proper wire tool to cut the seal & the other guy said he had the tool and has used it once. Now these 2 places have the best reputation in town out of 3 or 4.

Have not contacted the dealer yet to see about them replacing it, but they are aluminum certified.

Anybody had to replace a windshield yet, who did you use and are ya happy with the results?

Unfortunately, I have had mine replaced already. I had 2200km on it. took it to the local Auto glass shop, and it came from warehouse next day. Retail was $615, and I paid $380 incl all taxes. Was OEM glass as it had Carlite/Ford Branding.

Fyi, I have rain sensor and lane assist.

Consider yourself lucky. If that rock were to hit anything other than the windshield on your truck, it could have been more costly.
