Interesting. My Chamberlains from 2013 have no problem.

i think it depends on the model from Chamberlains. The model I wanted was incompatible with Homelink. So I automatically assumed all Chamberlain garage door opener was incompatible and bought Genie instead.

In my xterra I wired a momentary switch to the garage remote and tucked the remote behind the dash. May do the same with the F150.

How did you put it on the visor

The part # in this link is FL3Z-1504105-GA (thats the grey visors)
Do you know a part number for black?

Agreed pretty much useless. I don't use it at all and forgot it was there. I just use the garage door opener controller.

Both wife and I park in the garage all the time.

Buy a Homelink visor on ANY vehicle from your local "you pull it" junkyard. Phillips screwdriver and 5 minutes of your time. I paid $5 for one today that was on a Lincoln LS. I removed the module from the old visor, confirmed the device worked, and modified my visor for the equipment. Wired to the light circuit in the overhead console, there was no factory harness in my '09 FX4.
