Crap no Homelink
How is it that after everything I realized that I have no home-link. can i order the visor with it power some wire's, or is harder than it sounds. BTW I have a Genie screw drive if that matters anyhow.

Personally I wish they would have put it in a different spot. My wife's honda pilot has the buttons on the ceiling cluster between the 2 visors, which makes sense. Having them on the visor feels weird to me because if it's bright and sunny and you have the visor down, its hard to hit the buttons without putting it back up and having the sun in your eyes.

I just installed a new garage door opener for my in laws. Some garage door openers are not compatible with Homelink like Chamberlain. Many who own a F150 park it outside. So I guess its understandable they don't have Homelink as a standard option.

Has nothing to do with the truck fitting in the garage... My 2009 Fusion Hybrid didn't have it - because they had some type of interference problem they said. Lower trims don't have it.
You can buy a visor (OMG $500?)
You can buy a USED visor.
You can buy a Homeline module on Ebay and install it in your console. ($20 - $30)

I wanted homelink on my xlt because I have 2 garage doors and a gate. I talked to the service department, they said all you have to do is order the new visor. The wire harness is ready for the Homelink visor. I think it was around $500 installed

Buy one of these for $31.97 and never look back.
I bought a Chamberlain one of these and I love it. It is on your key chain so even if you are not riding in your truck you can open the door. You can start opening the door inside the house so you don't have to wait for it to go up.
You can program 3 different doors.
