+1 on Ford build quality. I have had my 2.7 Lariat screw 4x4 for about a week and can't find a thing wrong with it. Smooth, quiet, fast and gets every bit of the mpg the EPA says it does.

How do you like the 2.7?
I have not driven one yet.
Have tried the 3.5 regular engine.
The 3.5 ecoboost, i have driven several of those.
And several of the 5.0 engines to.
Someday i want to try that boosted 2.7.

Ps. You posted that you had a 2006 with a 5.0....they did not make it then. If you had a V8 engine then it was a 4.6 or 5.4.
Good Catch, it was a 5.4.

I love the 2.7, I was nervous about going to it from the 3.5. After my test drive I had no doubt about it. If I was still doing regular long trips pulling a camper on the weekends I may of preferred the 3.5, but since I've never done any real towing with the 2.7, I won't say it can't handle it just as good.

We need more positive threads about the new '15's I think we are scaring the **** outta people waiting for theirs. I know the 8 weeks I spent following this forum before getting mine if I wasn't adding dollars signs to stuff I wanted to buy for it, I was sweating bullets that it would be all jacked up.

Yeah, they should create a sub forum under 2015 F150 for complaints. I get tired of sifting through them to get to the modification threads. But it is expected being a forum for just this we year. It usually takes a couple years for the mod threads to start overtaking the rest.

As someone who has also traded an '05 5.4 for a 5.0 I have to agree with this.
Back when I first joined these forums someone posted that they thought the 5.0 with the 3:31 rear end would be a dog and they were right - its a Greyhound! (and I haven't even tried the sport mode yet!).

I'm anxious to hook up my boat and see how it does, but I'm waiting to crack that 1000 mile mark. I know, I don't drive it much. Just traded in a 2005 Silverado with only 53,000 miles.
X2. traded a 2007 Duramax w 48k. Got mine tue. no issues at all. I'm blown away so far. Still need to pull the boat though and its a big one lol!

I Have had mine for 4 month now and have had zero issues. Truck is awesome and the 5.0 in it impresses the heck out of me. More responsive then the 6.2 I had in my Raptor.

Picked up my new truck last Wed, took it on a 967 mile trip this weekend. Mine is perfect so far...none of the problems or defects some others have posted about. Took it through a car wash today and no moonroof leaks.

The truck is smooth as silk, very quiet...much quieter on the road than even my wife's Acura MDX. The seats are nice and firm, and it's easy to find a comfortable position. After 7 hours each way neither my wife nor I experienced any of the butt & lower back fatigue you normal get in many vehicles. In fact she commented repeatedly how quiet, comfortable and roomy this new F150 is on the road.

Fuel mileage isn't great so far... avg trip MPG was 14.6 per the computer (5.0 V8, 3.73 axle). Didn't know what to expect really. Set the cruise at 78 mph most of the trip (mostly interstate) and had a 20-25 mph steady headwind going out, and a 10-15 mph quartering headwind coming back home. So, jury's still out on fuel economy.

Still, great truck, very happy so far!

Texrep, thanks for sharing. So glad you are loving your new truck with no issues, especially how you had to hunt her down the last two weeks before it was delivered. Again, congratulations!

Thanks to the O.P. and everyone else for sharing their positive experiences.

I have a buddy that I convinced to trade in his 2010 GMC Denali and replace it with a 2015 Lariat Super Crew 4x4. He actually drove a 2014 FX4 first and then the 2015, and was sold.

His is optioned quite well and now every time I talk to him he raves about it. He tows/hauls almost nothing and this is daily driver, so his usage is merely to and from work, etc. He actually got the first one at the dealership back in December and since then has racked up about 5000+ miles and says as much as he loved the Denali, this truck is much better. Ironically, it was a ride in my 2011 that convinced him to take a look Ford product.

Overall, I'm glad to hear everyone is enjoying them. I worked for Chrysler in Engineering for almost 12 years and nobody makes the perfect vehicle. I've done enough competitive analysis work (driving, teardown, etc.) to see it first hand.

I'll be looking to make the switch next fall, so I hope they continue to impress/satisfy for the most part. I still really like my 2011, but want to move on while it still runs/looks great and the mileage is reasonable.

Again, thanks to everyone for sharing.
