My testing is showing that the lumbar is staying consistent around 80-83 without it climbing up quickly over time (in the past I would exceed 90 if left on long enough). The huge difference is where I was seeing temperatures climb into the 125+ range on the back of the seat where the TED is located. I am now seeing that temperature stay consistent in the mid to upper 80's

I had a friend ride with today that rode with before and complained about his back getting hot. Today he said he had AC on his back.

The exhaust tube is consistently putting off exhaust air at 100-110

thoroughly disgusted by my FOrd dealer... brought the truck in for a 7:30 apt yesterday for the seats, inverter outlets, remote start and a cosmetic issue... went as far as to printout the result poll and specific posts from this thread... upon picking the vehicle up I was told they "couldn't replicate the problem..." despite the pages of documentation I gave them (which apparently they lost) and eventually conceded they "misplaced" the print outs I provided and merely function tested the seats to verify the hot/cold worked... complete waste of a trip and vacation time from work! They are replacing my inverter though... after it comes off back-order in the end of August/early September... surprisingly, the service manager has not responded to my e-mail about this experience...

I got the same answer, then I showed them the readings from the back of the seat, and asked "is 120 degrees a normal operating temp for a seat cooler?", it was 75 degrees ambient. My service guy was shocked when he saw it in person, and said he'd document it (and it was on my paperwork).

I doubt the techs even sit in the truck when testing....or test for a time period long enough for the TED to get hot. I read that they plug in their computer and run through the seat functions....which when the seat is unzipped and open, allowing all that hot exhaust to escape, I'm sure it works a lot better.

It doesn't get any better than this. I was going to do the same thing with the FLIR at our fire station... If this doesn't prove they have a major problem with the design, nothing will.

Thanks for doing this and posting the results!
