OV2015F150 - I've expecting Tim's exhaust kit to arrive in the next few days and I have been thinking of doing what you described with the hoses. I'd be very interested to see the pics you have. Knowing that someone has made this work has me really looking forward to making the mod.

I and have come up with a solution that is getting the driver seat in my Platinum F 150 that gets the temps down to the low 60 degrees and has great air flow and the back cooling far exceeds the bottom in both speed and temperature. I own a FLIR ONE thermal imaging camera and this made trying different setups easy to test that otherwise would have been difficult to know the effects. First Tim's exhaust by its self absolutely gets heat out of the back of the seat. The driver side with his kit drops the back temp down to about 100 degrees and the air coming out of the bottom of the hose from the kit shows the same 100 degrees. the tsb only passenger back gets too 118 in the same time . I also found a substantial benefit in wrapping the entire adapter and entire exhaust hose all the way with foil tape (not enough with kit but I had plenty) I also ran the plastic exhaust tubing out the bottom of the seat frame by heating it and slightly flattening it and extending it aprox 1 inch through the frame , it helped to take a thin flat screw driver and needle nose to pull it through from the bottom. I was careful to not cover up the bottom of the tube when i buttoned up the seat. After doing everything above I tested the seat and there was definitely less heat going into the back of seat . The cooling was improved substantially with loosing the heat but to say the back was cool compared to the bottom was a stretch. I knew that living in Arizona I would not be happy seats I decided to try to see if adding more or cooler air to the intake sock from the tsb would help. To see if this worked first I built a cardboard duct to carry cold air from the ac floor duct under the seat and put it right in the sock then turned on the a.c to the floor and dash vents position and almost instantly cold air in the seat backand blowing out much much harder. I then tried to figure out how to add air into the sock and still have the seat move forward and backward and came up with a solution that seems to work great. I simply took two pieces of 7/16 ID gas hose aprox 2 foot long used the foil tape two tape the top 8-10 inches together (and to make sliding the hoses into the sock easier ) moved the seat all the way back and slid the hoses up into the sock between the plastic and the spacer mesh keeping the end of the hose about 2 inches below the blower motor. I then cut the bottom piece of the J channel where ford had cut the top out for the sock and hoses. I then inserted the two hoses into the a.c. vent on the floor aprox 2 inches . Zip tied the sock and hoses to the frame in the back and bottom of the seat . Now the seat has full range of movement , you can't see anything with the seats and the COOLING IS AWESOME. I know this only works with the A.C set on floor and dash or floor only but they get 6-8 degrees cooler than the bottoms now and much quicker too. Tested this morning with heated side and it works the same fast and hot. I have photos and temperature shots and will try to download later
You sir have found the holy grail of how to cool the seats. I have been toying with this idea for a while. I plan on tapping into the plenum in the console that feeds the rear seat passenger vents and piping that cool air into the intake of Tim's kit. The trick is to do it in a way that the plumbing is hidden. We may find a use for Tim's new molding machine yet.

Stay tuned!!

Default Pictures of hoses to sock and thermal images.

Here are some shots of the setup I talked about earlier. The ones from the Flir One camera show the heat from the TED and the difference wrapping the blue tubing and Tim's adapter makes . The others show the fuel line hooked up to the sock. I failed to say in the previous post that hooking up the A.C duct also cooled the back seat Shot from the seat with Tim's kit on it from aprox 100 degrees to upper 90 degree range after running for about 30 mins. also I did try to hook up the hoses to my passenger seat with the TSB done but without Tim's exhaust kit and it helped but not even close to the drivers side with Tim's kit (simply too much heat put into the back of the seat! That's right Ford ) I will leave the hoses in the passenger side until I Install Tim's exhaust kit .Thank you Tim ! The pics show the seat all the way back where I keep it but also with the seat all the way forward (just for the car wash guys) that is why you see the hose flexed in the photos.

OK so good thoughts on the vent but I must warn you guys that if the seat is set to cool and those air vent are putting out warm air it will cause the TED to get much hotter. There is only one safeguard that I know of and I personally do not trust it. The TED is rumored to shut down at 150F which is pretty dang hot.

Pictures are not mine just uploading as a reference. This is an idea that was submitted by another user to me. He used my exhaust and came up with his own way to get cool forced air into the sock.

Angry ...wow...

I just bought a 2016 F-150 Platinum and the seat backs seemed to cool for the first couple of months and then stopped...!

This is a $65,000 truck... I've had more issues with this truck than I've ever had with any of my past F-150 purchases....
