Cooling fan behavior

Mines been doing that, too. I live in Florida. I swear it's been the hottest summer ever! I think it's just their way of staying cool. Do you have the ecoboost? Mine does it with the remote start, too.

I can certainly understand the fans running on full when its really hot. My concern is when the fans run for no apparent reason. Like when its not warm outside and I stop somewhere for a few minutes, startup the truck again and the fans run on full for about 30 seconds. It happens randomly.

This is "ford normal", per them. They changed the fans operation starting on 13's, after complaints on earlier models.
While Ford says it is normal, its annoying but lets folks know a Ford is near!

Sorry should have said 5.0. Seems most on her have commented on the eco. So loud you have to crank the radio. Sure gets attention when I pull up next to someone at a stop light.

Mine is a 5.0, Ford made the change, also via a PCM update, to address AC - Heat issues complained about in earlier models.
