Clunk from rear of truck

UPDATE:
5200 miles. It appears the clunk noise as described earlier is not the rear axle with play as the dealer had assured me it was as he hurried me out the door. When I place the vehicle in reverse to leave my garage I hear it, when I turn left or right and there is any sway in the vehicle I hear it and when I go over the curb into my driveway, it's also there. The best description is a quick and dull "clunk", almost like someone is tapping a hollow area with their fist/knuckle...
Tonight I laid under the vehicle and shook/rocked left and right to try and duplicate the noise. I hear it the best when I press up on the spare tire (the spare is fastened tight). It almost sounds like it is coming from the leaf spring(s) themselves. I've read not to lubricate these, so I will not.
Has anyone had any luck determining what a similar sound like mine could be?
Also, for the "Ford customer service" reps on the site; Do NOT contact me as you've been completely worthless in this headache.
Thanks all-

I've noticed this noise recently as well. Thought it might be my sway bar not tightened up but I torqued all that per instructions so that might not be it...

I've heard it a few times on mine when turning and going over uneven ground. Vehicle description is in my sig. No tailgate step so I don't think that's it. I initially thought it was the bed of the truck hitting the cab of the truck.

I only hear mine while turning left or right slowly on uneven surface. Other than that never hear it, even off road. Took it to the dealer they cannot recreate the issue. Dunno whats going on but hope someone finds out.

The best way to re-create this is to move the steering wheel back and forth sharply while driving (parking lot = safe) while driving about 5-10MPH. You can easily hear it clunking. At least you can on my truck.

Not sure if mine is the same clunk as you guys but when I go over a speed bump over 3-4mph there's a loud clunk. I just thought it was the tailgate being loose and just hitting on the body or even with the pickup bed flexing and creating a popping/clunking noise.
Doesn't happen at any other time. Turning. Driving. Going up a gradient or bumps on the road. Seems to only happen when both rear wheels are compressed at the same time. Have had one rear wheel go up a speed bump not both and no noise.

My name's Chad, and I'm the new Ford Service Rep. I recommend contacting your dealership about this. Shoot me a PM verifying the year and mileage of your rig; I'll see how I can lend a hand.

I had mine in for service this past week to fix a few issues all but the sound on the leaf springs has been fixed I have owned 2 other F150's and never had this, deal said it was fixed when I picked it up and I got out on the road did the side to side turn at 10 mph and its still there will take it back this week. I looked under the truck looks like they put some grease but I have been told its the leaf springs rubbing together. $65k truck that ford has said to be the best on the planet should not make that noise and folks you can hear it on the outside even more very embarrassing to say the least.
