Default Can't shift out of park

New problem, truck will start but can't shift it out of park. Brake petal sinks to floor, no hill assistance or collusion warning warnings displayed. Along with a orange wrench.
Had to use the magic white lever to get truck home, lucky happened close to house.

Check your brake lights. Blown fuse can cause this.

They work! And I don't think a blown fuse would cause the petal to go to the floor. But would stop the truck from starting but it does start. Just can't shift it without using the override lever.

Vehicle won't let you shift it out of park, without a manual override!

Possibly a problem with your brakes!

Don't take it in, call Ford Roadside Assistance and have it towed in!

I did, it's at dealer now.

Bob that's good, glad you and your family are safe. I hope the dealer can get it fixed for you. Odd coincidence, as I was just reading somewhere, someone had a question about starting- with shift lever in park. They went through the step by step process you probably did, to get your truck started.

I'm sure these things happen, but there just seems to be so many instances of different issues with the 2015's. Seems like every week its something new, along with more of the same.

Good luck and enjoy your new truck!

The good part is we had just come back that morning from a trip to Chicago with five people in the truck. Hate to think of the hassle that would of been had it happened there in downtown.. Of course just a hour before this happened my wife remarked how nice it was going there in a new dependable truck.

It's official this truck has been back to the dealer for problem fixing more than the 2002 in the thirteen years I owned it.. And it only turned 4000 coming home from Chicago.

Seems a lot of similar issue with the same warnings as a I had and a few others have had that have been bad enough for a replacement truck.. I think for has done electrical demons in these new trucks.. Keep us posted on the outcome.

Mine was delivered with the airbag warning light on. Caused by a pinched wiring harness shorting out.
