Can Tow Mirrors be changed to Standard?
Just purchased '15 Platinum 4x4 FX4 3.5EB that has the upgraded tow mirrors. After a couple of days of driving I am not sure I like them. Can they be replaced with the standard mirrors?

I do not know, I would think you could. The price is going to kill you. My 2011 F250 tow mirror was $1100 each. The mirrors you desire are probably just as much. Need to trade w/someone.

You definitely can. Although I like the tow mirrors 100x more.
I took off my standards and put the power everything ones on, on my 13.
The new ones are probably even more comparable.
But I think the tows are better imo

I would seriously look into it. I 100% understand the Tow mirrors and how useful they are. But for me look was more important since I'll rarely tow (and would just get clip-ons for the trip).
A few dealerships had what I wanted but with the tow mirrors and I just had to say no to their great price. I found the standard a few days later and after picking it up last night I can say FOR ME they are perfect.
Long story short, you have to be happy. Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks - including me. Don't let anyone sway you one way or another. Get an estimate, sell the tows (if u decide to go that route) and eat the $500-1k it'll probably cost you in labor.
It's worth it in the end to be 100% happy, esp after spending that much. Plenty of guys love the tows. I'm happy I waited for the opposite.

Thanks for the feedback. I had to buy the truck by year end and the dealership located one in a neighboring state. It had everything I wanted and some, but I did not pick up the tow mirrors on the window sticker. It was there but I did not realize what it was. Anyhow, I will talk to the dealership. I am getting used to the larger mirrors but really would only need them 7 or 8 times a year. Thanks.

I would give it a little time and see if you learn to enjoy them. They give you such better vision behind the truck. The new standard mirrors no longer have the additional convex lens on drivers side. I would give it at least 10 days of driving then decide. Better than regretting it later wishing you had kept them and not spent money to go with lesser value mirrors.
If after a few weeks and you still want the standard, I'm sure you can do a better deal to get some bucks for your mirrors.
I had them on my 13 but did not order on my 15. Since I had time to think about my order and remember how much better I can see behind the truck I decided I would miss them too much. I changed my order to add them back.
If you decided to remove them, don't give them away! Even a local body shop may do a better deal with you and take the mirrors as part trade.

After using the clip-on **** mirrors for the past 4 years, I decided to order my 2015 with the tow mirrors. I suspect you will not have an issue swapping with another owner. Once people get a few more in their driveways, and perhaps closer to the boating/camping season.

CurryBob you make a good point. I will drive it for a little while longer before I do anything. It would stink to swap them and regret it later. I do tow a boat and travel trailer but not that often. Thanks for the suggestions.
