Default Brakes won't work at low speed.

First of all hello, I am new to the forum. I bought a 2006 F-150 from a private owner about 4 months ago. I love the truck but I am considering selling it unless I can find the problem. Two times in the past 3 weeks my wife has had the brakes fail while trying to stop when going low speeds. 5 to 20 miles per hr. I did a recall search and seen that Ford had a recall on a vacuum line for the brake system. I called a dealership and found out that the line had been replaced. That apparently was not it unless it has failed again. After further investigation on the internet I found that this has happened to other F-150 owners. I would really appreciate any ones help. Thank You.

Default Brakes won't work at low speed.

People are going to yell at you for posting in the wrong forum.

Chances are the booster or vacuum lines are shot.

No biggie. I'm sure a moderator can jump on and move this where it needs to be so you can get help a little quicker.

I just got rid of my 04 and never had any problems with brakes, i had a brake line fail and replaced it, is the brake light on anywhere on your dashboard? If your brakes are bad they should be bad all the time.

no brake light warning on the dash board. If you google this u will find that this has happened to other f150 owners. Usually at low speeds.
