Default BLIS system - will it set off my radar detector?

So this blindspot information system apparently uses radar to locate nearby vehicles. I'm curious if the radar bouncing off nearby cars/objects constantly will be setting off my radar detector? I've got a Passport 9500ix, also have a Valentine 1 thats about 8 years old, both are pretty sensitive, and I'm not a speed demon but I do like to use radar detection when traveling on Texas highways as I do often. Will be disappointed if they are just going to be constantly alerting due to the truck itself spamming radar signals

I am glad that you brought up this question because I need a firm answer before I buy another Radar Detector.
Here is an article I found online in a BMW Forum.

Is it the same system used in the current explorer? If so, the answer is no. I have a passport and have had no problems with it

BLIS operates on different frequencies than the police radars & detectors just as weather radars, navigation radars, airport radars, military radars, etc. do...short answer is no.

I recently bought a Tahoe but stick around here because I will be back in a couple years... I can tell you, the BLIS on the Tahoe doesn't affect my V1 at all but others with newer model V1's are reporting that it is affecting their unit.

Yep, speed limits on Texas highways are already plenty high. A radar detector on the dash is a guaranteed ticket if you get stopped. But, it is a free country and it's your money to spend!
