We would be glad to get a tune on your truck to help you unlock that hidden potential these trucks are well known for. I would hate to see you have to wait patiently until Thanksgiving / Christmas time just to see if we have some seasonal promotions available. Feel free to give me a shout when ready to pull the trigger and I would be happy to speak with my supervisor and see what type of promotional forum member pricing I could work out for you. This way we can help you avoid the wait and put that smile on your face that we get every time we get in our F150s here tuned.

My name is Anthony @ 313-561-5500 ext 103. You can give me a call , PM , or email and I would be glad to help in any way possible.
Anthony,
I left you a voice mail. Some of the questions that I have (that others may have too) are:
  1. Why do you recommend the lower temperature thermostat? Is it required? Are there any negatives to having the stock one or the one you sell? I noticed some other tuners do not recommend one and they provide a similar service.
  2. How do the spark plugs differ from the factory plugs? Mine only have 5k miles on them and Livernois lists theirs for $90 bucks! Maybe I should ask what the ones Livernois sells are gapped to so I can pick them up at Advanced Auto Parts myself?
  3. How do the tunes work? Does the truck have to be in tow or sport mode for the tune to work? Is there an option to switch tunes from 87 to 93 'on the fly' or do I need to download another tune?
  4. Is one tune 'engaged' all of the time that the software is flashed onto the truck?
  5. What other questions do most people ask that I didn't?

    Thanks in advance.

Good questions Neffster. I would like to know those answers as well, in addition to knowing if these tunes can be reverted to stock without being traced.

So far the only company I see claiming that is Diablosport.

If you buy a sct device, X4 or livewire, then you can try multiple tuners and see which one suits ur needs.

I read somewhere that Diablosport was claiming their tune couldn't be detected as long as you put it back to stock before taking it in.

Ideally, it would be nice to have that option. Thanks for the feeback!
They are being deceptive. Yes, THEIR tune won't be detected, but ford will know the ecu has been changed and that's all that matters. There's various ways for them to find out, some of which is the ECU keeping track of key cycles, runtimes, etc since the last rewrite.

You have to pay to play. If warranty is that big of a deal, then don't get a tune. Some will try to say that Magneson moss act prevents them from denying a claim but don't buy into "the dealer has to honor the warranty unless they PROVE the modification directly cause the damage" because they only have to be losely related for them to deny it.

I've heard great things on both, but haven't driven either.. I had mpt tunes on my previous vehicle and was very satisfied, but I believe I will be going with stage 3 and getting the 5 * tunes. I like the fact that you can get a warranty through them in case the dealer decides to not warranty a job and the tunes for life. I've also just heard great things about stage 3. I ordered my AS level through them and I had quick delivery and will be definitely be ordering much more from them.

Why are you going to change to 5* instead of MPT?

I looked at MPT's website and they are making some pretty bold claims on power gains. 109HP and 158lb/ft. Is that legit?

Does anyone have any input on the SSI tune? It seems like some people running them have put up some great 1/4 mile runs from what I have read?

It's worse than that. People with legitimate warranty issues (TSB's for example) on non-modified vehicles have had dealerships deny work that Ford has instructed them to do. If people have a hard time getting a TSB performed, how do you think that dealership will be with a modified ECU and all of a sudden your rear tire pressure sensor goes bad?

As silly as it sounds, it's not all that uncommon. The trick is finding a good dealership and being honest.

While legally you may be right, do you want to hire a lawyer and sue to get something fixed?
